Our Voices. Our Lives Feature

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with William Feagins Jr., the creative force behind Wfjrfilms, to participate in his docuseries, Our Voices. Our Lives. For over six years, Wfjrfilms has captured the essence of Atlanta's vibrant art and entrepreneurial scene, offering an intimate look at the creative pulse driving the city's culture.

With more than 80 episodes, the series showcases diverse backgrounds, industries, and generations, highlighting the visionary artists and ambitious entrepreneurs who are shaping Atlanta's ever-evolving creative spaces.

Recently, this inspiring series won Best Web Series at The BronzeLens Film Festival!! To celebrate, I’m resharing my interview and encouraging you to explore the entire series and its powerful stories.

Being a part of this project was an incredibly meaningful experience for me. Growing up in Metro Atlanta, I’ve watched the city transform so much over the years. To be included in a group of talented creatives, each sharing their unique journeys, felt like being part of something bigger than myself. It was a chance to contribute to preserving the city’s history and celebrate the power of community.

At the time, I didn’t realize how bold of a step it was to participate, but now, I’m grateful to my younger self for saying yes. Being part of Our Voices. Our Lives has reminded me of the importance of telling our stories—how each one of us holds something beautiful and unique within.

What makes this series truly stand out is the way Wfjrfilms invites viewers into the moment. Whether you’re hearing from a painter, a dancer, a musician, or a writer, the stories feel immediate and raw. William’s ability to capture these moments makes you feel like you’re right there with the creators as they share their truths.

I’m honored to have been part of this series and thrilled to see it getting the recognition it deserves. I hope you’ll take the time to watch my episode and explore the entire collection. Each story is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and passion that define Atlanta’s artistic community.
